Track Record
BPG has built up a sound investment portfolio which produces a healthy return off long term leases. Our cash reserves and positive cash flow give us a good base to continue our expansion. We have a healthy relationship with our lenders and have hedged ourselves against future interest rate rises. We have given a brief outline of some of our investments below.
The Orion Building
The Orion Building is a landmark development in Birmingham with breathtaking architecture boasting one of the city’s tallest residential towers at 26 stories high. BPG acquired the commercial space, totaling 12,691 sqft, consisting of five prestigious ground floor retail units facing John Bright St and Navigation St.
The commercial units have attracted great interest from prospective tenants and all available units have now been let to Bathstore.com, Damac Properties Ltd, R Turfrey Ltd and In Toto Kitchens. Crosby have taken a lease on one unit to maintain their marketing presence for the apartments within Orion and its other city centre developments.
The Orion purchase by BPG is the latest in a line of commercial acquisitions out of mixed use schemes. BPG’s expertise in managing and developing the retail and office space within schemes is now well recognised. In the past two years it has acquired over 77,000 sqft of commercial space from Crosby alone and retains the majority of this within its investment portfolio.
John Bright Street
Rosie's Bar and Edwards No 8 Nightclub Grade II listed nightclub and bar let to The Spirit Group on a 40 year lease. These handsome buildings were acquired in 2006, following a severe fire at Edwards No8 this part of the site is currently being redeveloped with a comphrehensive refurbishment of the building involving facade retention and internal fit out. The nightclub and bar use will be maintained to capitalise on the rapidly improving area.
55 Cornwall Street
Ground floor and basement retail/restaurant premises in the heart of Birmingham's financial district. The property comprises a total of 5250 sq.ft.
